World renowned American anthropologist, epigrapher, and Mayanist scholar, Stephen Houston, was born in Chambersburg in 1958. Mr. Houston is particularly noted for his research into the pre-Columbian Maya civilization of Mesoamerica, and is currently a professor at Brown University.

With seating for up to 852, patrons can enjoy live shows presented by Capitol Theatre, as well as, classic films on the big screen.
